Training Thoughts of the Week

This is my top tip for remembering to ignore your training when you stink, like I did on Monday-

Here’s the Rule of 5.

In any 5 sessions, you’ll have:

1 that’s amazing.

1 that’s terrible.

3 that are just average.

And it’s the average sessions where you’re at. Ignore the really bad, ignore the really good. Pay more attention to when it’s bang average. The forgetable sessions are your actual training. Learn to pay more attention to them.

Non-Training Thoughts of the Week

Ran the European Kids Championships at the weekend. I’m really tired. But I’m going to force myself to train tonight.

See you on the mat,

Barry
