You’ll see this a bit more in my column for vpxsports.com, but I made this video yesterday to go along with an article for that site and I really like the way the video came out so I thought I’d post an early peek.
The goal of the article is to introduce zero-equipment training with a strength emphasis. I get a lot of requests from people who have no kettlebells, dumbbells or any equipment at all. Push ups and bodyweight squats only get you so far and you very quickly reach the point of diminishing returns for your efforts. If you want to get stronger, you have to move heavier things than your bodyweight. Someone else’s bodyweight is ideal.
I think I’m off to the physio in the morning to check on my knee. I gave it a good twist in training yesterday and last night it became very painful. If I was a betting man I’d put €10 on my anterior cruciate ligament having a slight tear, but hopefully it’s minor enough.
