2026 Training Log Part 16

On the Stereo today- The Dust Brothers

Super compressed training week this week as I’d a big family wedding to go to. Got as much Jiu Jitsu into 3 days as possible.

Monday

Upper body Strength

  1. Bench press w/u to 5 at 90kgs
  2. Close grip bench 3×12
  3. Lat Pulldown 5×8
  4. Prone row 3×10
  5. Core work
  6. Curls 3×15
  7. Pushdowns 3×20

Evening Jiu Jitsu

Really savage session focusing on getting under your opponent. Did some positionals with just upper body controls and grips which I found tough. Finished with 5x5min rounds.

Tuesday

Mixed conditioning session.

  1. 30mins bike ride with hill climbers.
  2. Core work.

Wednesday

Morning Jiu Jitsu in Roger’s place. Couple of light warm up rounds, then rounds from defense/attack. Then 2x10min rounds. Very enjoyable and good to get out and stretch my legs somewhere else.

Evening Jiu Jitsu. A nice 6 rounds in the evening with tired legs after the morning and the bike ride!

Thursday

Wedding. A nice day out with the clan. And I have a big clan.

Saturday

Still feeling the wedding, I hit the mat with the intention of grinding out some victories. Stuck to my guns and then ended up really enjoying the last few rounds.

Non-Training Thoughts of the Week

I am locked in. I have no thoughts outside of training for the next few weeks. Don’t expect any.
